To create your own leaf art, you will need:

  • A bunch of leaves! Find leaves in different shapes, sizes, and colors.
  • Paper towels or non-glossy paper to press the leaves. Arrange the leaves in a single layer between pieces of paper or toweling.
  • Some heavy books to place on top of your leaves for several days. Check them and change the paper if it feels damp.
  • Paper (construction paper works great, but you might need something bigger if your leaves are big!) You can use any color of paper that inspires you!
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick, liquid glue (like Elmer's), or double-sided tape for sticking the leaves to the paper.
  • Pens, colored pencils, or markers for adding details. Permanent markers work best for  drawing on leaves.
